For me, each painting or drawing is an exciting renewal and a challenge to my creative abilities for both colour and form.
Sometimes I place a limit on the number of colours I use in a painting while, at other times, I make use of an under painting. I allow the under painting to show through the top layer of paint to add interest. Detailed lines lead the viewer around and through the work.
My recent series explores the simplicity of lines, arcs and circles in my paintings and drawings. However, it is the landscape presented in a simple manner to which I return most often.
